Zoom R16 Garageband Ipad

I am currently trying to get my head round Logic Pro X (have used adobe audition previously, but Logic seems better suited to what I want to do etc). I'm trying to get Logic Pro X to record through the r16, should be simple. Using the current setup (1 mic plugged into the R16 and it on USB mode) I am able to record audio on audition, yet when I try with Logic, despite it saying that both audio input and output are the R16, and on the Zoom itself it is showing audio, the bar showing audio levels on Logic shows nothing and when recording it remains as silence. I would like to warn that I am a complete novice, so it may be something really simple I've missed. But if anyone could help, it would be appreciated.

Mar 20, 2011 Unfortunately the Zoom H4n is not recognized when I try to use it as an audio input device for Garageband for Ipad. I do have MultiTrack on my Ipad and the H4n works quite well as an input device for it without problem, so I know it is an issue with Garageband as opposed to a problem with the Ipad and OS. Feb 08, 2019 Has anybody tried using Garageband iOS/iPad Pro with the H6? I’m using the new Hyperdrive for iPad as an interface but can only use the H6 (in audio interface mode) in a “stereo’ mix mode, and not as individual audio tracks-to-inputs. Which of course is what I want to do. I’m wondering - maybe using the Hyperdrive is the problem? Here's a possible tip for R8 users. Mine wouldn't power on if hooked up to an iPad using just the new USB 3 CCK, and connected to power using a 12-watt iPad charger. It would start up fine connected the the USB port of my Mac, or to the iPad via a regular powered USB hub. I concluded it was drawing too much power to even boot. On your computer, open iTunes and add the audio files you want to import to the GarageBand File Sharing area. Open GarageBand on your iPad and follow the steps above to create a new document. Tap the Loop browser button and you will see a message asking if you want to move the audio files to the GarageBand File Transfer folder. Hi, I intermittently run into 2 problems with GarageBand. The first is, currently under an audio track (for recording vocals etc.) it will not record sound, no matter what combination of audio/midi preferences I have selected in the GarageBand preferences, or no matter what I have set up for audio input in the system preferences menu, I am using a usb microphone, but I also tested with the.
