However, now the message 'Unable to start game. Service initialization failed (0x0175dcbb) pops up, and the game automatically quits. I have looked around on the Internet and plenty of other people have had this problem, but I can only find solutions for Windows, and as previously stated, I bought a Mac. Can someone please help me? I've followed every instruction in the installation of the Sims Medieval, Sims Medieval: Pirates and Nobles, and Sims Medieval Ultimate Fix (I hope as I'm still new to this) to the dot, and I received a pop up when I try to start the game that says:
Unable to start game.
Service initialization failed (0x0175dcbb)
When I try to open the launcher it also gives me a little pop up:
There was an error during startup. Please see the Log for more details.
What does this mean exactly? How can I fix this?
Thanks!

All of these included multiple expansion pacs. All of Sims 4 (expansion pacs and all) were purchased from Origin. Sims 3 from CDs. Sims 2 from the App Store. As Captain Obvious says “you can’t solve the problem if you don’t know the reasons caused it.” So let’s see them. There are 2 main reasons of this error:
- Lack of necessary system library files, Net Framework, DirectX;
- Installed mods.
In fact, the second reason is even more common. Many users often feel bored of the basic version the game and install different mods, which sometimes leads to file conflict.
